House rules
Access to the Emergency Room
We would like to welcome you to the General Practitioner. For everyone’s safety and comfort, we have a number of house rules. We like to treat each other with respect, and expect the same from our visitors and patients. If you feel that you are not being treated respectfully, it is best to discuss this calmly with the healthcare provider right away. Violation of the house rules may result in a warning or denial of access to the General Practitioner. Identification is required in and around the General Practitioner. Together with you, we are happy to ensure a pleasant stay.
Aggression
Aggression, violence and criminal acts are not accepted. This is always followed by a sanction and in all cases we also inform the patient’s own GP of this behaviour.
Number of supervisors
A maximum of 1 companion per patient is allowed in the consulting room. When the waiting room is busy, the extra companions are asked to make room for patients.
Smoking, alcohol, drugs
Alcohol, smoking and/or drugs are prohibited at the General Practitioner.
Liability
You are solely responsible and liable for your property. Parking your means of transport is at your own risk.
Image, sound and social media
Taking a photo or recording a film is prohibited. There is controlled camera surveillance in and around the General Practitioner to ensure your safety.
Making an audio recording is only permitted with the express permission of the healthcare provider, and it may never be distributed publicly.
Animals
Animals are not allowed on the General Practitioner, with the exception of assistance dogs.
Policy of patients living abroad
Patients who do not live in the Netherlands and use emergency care provided by the General Practitioner must pay directly in cash (not possible in Almelo) or by pin.
Safety first
If you do not respect these house rules, you will first receive a warning. In case of recurrence, we can report or deny access to the General Practitioner.
