Prices
There are costs associated with all contacts with the General Practitioner. The rates are set by the Dutch Healthcare Authority. The GP emergency stations have no influence on the amount of this. If you are insured, the costs of treatment will be reimbursed in full. If you cannot prove that you are insured with a valid insurance policy/card, you will receive the bill at home. You will then pay the bill directly to the General Practitioner and can then submit it to your health insurance provider.
Tourists and patients who cannot prove that they are insured or do not have a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) must pay directly to the General Practitioner. Are you not insured in the Netherlands, but can you show a valid EHIC card at the counter? Then we can send an invoice to your insurance company.
